Waiohine Pinnacles Easter Weekend 3-6 April
One of the two pinnacles in the mighty Tararuas. Friday - Into Mitre Flats and up the Waingawa River to Cow Creek Hut. Saturday - We traveled up the siddle track to Arete Forks and then up Pinnacle Spur to the Waiohine Pinnacles and down to the headwaters of the Waiohine River. Sunday - We traveled down the Waiohine River and up a spur on Dorset Ridge and up towards the turnoff to Tarn Ridge Hut. Monday - We went along to Girdlestone, Brockett, Mitre, Peggeys Peak and out via Mitre Flats.
